Indulge in pure delight with our Vegan Oreo Ice Cream—a heavenly treat that’s dairy-free, cruelty-free, and utterly delicious. Get ready to savor the perfect blend of creamy, dreamy goodness and the irresistible crunch of classic Oreos in every spoonful.
Ingredients:
- 2 16.9 oz. Country Crock Heavy Whipping Plant Cream (Chilled overnight)
- 1 cup of Coconut milk (Or your favorite dairy free-milk)
- 2 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
- 1.5 Cups Crushed Oreos
- .5 Cup Coarsely Chopped Oreo Cookies For Mix-ins
Preparation:
Before you get this ice cream party started, make sure your ice cream maker’s freezer bowl is frozen according to the manufacturer’s instructions. We want our ice cream to chill like a boss!
Crush the Oreo Cookies: Pop those Oreo cookies into a ziplock bag, grab a rolling pin (or use your hands, no judgment here!), and crush those cookies until you have glorious crumbs. Both the crushed and finely chopped
The Recipe:
Blend the Base: In a blender or food processor, blend together the chilled heavy whipping cream, coconut milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until it’s a velvety smooth mixture. The coconut milk will give our ice cream that rich, creamy texture!
It might sound odd to add salt to ice cream but it is for a cause. It helps soften the ice cream so it doesn’t turn to cinderblock when freezing.
Same thing goes for the heavy whipping cream. Other recipes will use canned coconut milk or just almond milk. This heavy whipping cream makes a significant difference in taste as a result.
Fold in the Oreo Goodness: When the ice cream is almost ready, toss in the crushed Oreo cookie crumbs. Gently fold them into the ice cream using a spatula, making sure the cookies are still in somewhat big chunks.
Time to Freeze: Transfer your Oreo Ice Cream creation into an airtight container, and let it hang out in the freezer for a few hours to firm up. We know the waiting is tough, but trust us, it’s worth it! I recommend anything after 4 hours.
Scoop and Savor: Finally, the moment you’ve been waiting for – scoop out generous portions of your Dairy-Free Oreo Ice Cream, top it with the coarsely crumbs we made earlier for a more fresh cocoa taste. You can also place them as a top layer before freezing for a different ice cream experience.
Indulge in this dreamy Vegan Oreo Ice Cream whenever your sweet tooth calls for some frozen bliss. Serve it in a cone, bowl, or straight from the tub (no judgment here!), and savor the moment with every scrumptious bite. Now go ahead and treat yourself to this creamy cookie sensation – you deserve it!
